Thuya Wood (Tetraclinis
Articulata)
Thuya wood comes from
a small region of Morocco. Rather than cutting down trees,
the Moroccans dig into the soil to find the roots of Briar
trees cut down many years ago, which have been rested and
enriched by the soil. The
colour is golden brown to red, highly figured with small
eye clusters of tight burls. It is moderately hard and it
is well known for its aromatic smell.
